Beautiful Handmade Tags from Snippety Cricket

One of the things I love most about having an online business is my customers!! It’s so great to meet people from all over. I love everyone’s enthusiasm for all things handmade! Once in a while a get a lovely note or surprise from a customer. These darling gift tags are a gift from Snippety Cricket, she sent me a set of these handmade tags and I was so thrilled to get them (Although she has an Etsy shop it is temporarily closed due to some health issues she is experiencing).  When I opened up the little package out poured the most wonderful scented gift tags. They are embellished all in glitter and are scented with a really beautiful fragrance. I’m not sure what the fragrance is but it reminds me of walking into a gift shop that is filled with antique laces, milk glass vases and very fine antiques. You know the kind I mean. I couldn’t wait to use these tags and I found the perfect person and occasion to use them. My daughter finished the first grade this year and she had such a wonderful teacher. So we bought her a dozen ivory roses and we made her a rose scented oatmeal soap and now we have the perfect tags!

Pink Rose Soap

I attached the tag to the roses( you can see on the top photo). To wrap the soap I used some fabric. I love to wrap soaps in fabric. If you sew you know that you always have scraps of fabric around. This is a great way to use them up. Just use some pinking shears and cut around the edges so your fabric doesn’t fray.  I get most of my fabric from the Fat Quarter Shop. They have fabric layer cakes. These are 10″ blocks of fabric that are already cut and the edges are cut with pinking shears. They are the perfect size to wrap a soap up with.

I had this pretty soft pink paisley piece of fabric left over so I just placed my soap in small box and attached this beautiful tag to it You can’t see it in the photo but the tag is embellished with a touch of glitter. So pretty.
