What happens when you take someone who has no experience in making soap and ask them to come up with some of their own soap creations? We wanted to know and we had a target in mind! SKYLER …he’s a behind the scenes guy who handles our websites and does our product photography. For some reason I thought this techie (okay I just don’t want to use the work geek) guy would show us a few boring soaps and we’d have to babysit him along the way. Boy was I wrong! Look what Skyler came up with!! These soaps are amazing! We just showed him the soap making basics, how to melt the soap, add color and fragrance. No hand holding; he didn’t even ask any questions. Yikes! I love these! It gives me a totally new perspective. Poor guy was so misjudged! You can see the in the photo above he did an amazing job with this sun and moon soap mold. This is one of my all time favorite soaps I’ve seen. He photographed it beautifully too. I’d say these are soaps with some character!
I also love this snail soap he did using micas and a brown soap colorant, very artistic! How about these beautiful rose soaps below, these are really stunning. They almost look like glass! These were made with a rose silicone soap mold and red and dark green colorant. Hey I’m impressed!
Here’s Skyler. By the way Skyler is a talented musician and songwriter, an all around great guy! I’m sure we’ll being seeing more of Skyler’s soap creations on this blog…maybe even a tutorial or two!
Until next post,
